Wilmington CIPMS: Phase 1 Completion

CIPPlanner is very pleased to announce that another comprehensive CIPAce™ application system, i.e., the City of Wilmington Capital Improvement Program Management System Phase 1, was successfully deployed on June 14, 2023.

Wilmington is a port city in North Carolina and known as a gateway to Cape Fear Coast beaches. Incorporated on February 20, 1739, the City’s population in 2021 is about 118,000.

City of Wilmington’s CIPAce™ system is a streamlined and highly automated application system that integrate the City’s practices and business processes with the many powerful yet user-friendly capabilities and features provided by the CIPAce™ Technology to enable both internal and external end users to collaborate on and/or manage individual CIP projects through various workflows throughout its lifecycle effectively and efficiently. The key modules and functions deployed as part of Phase 1 implementation includes: project, resources, and schedule management; budget and fund management per client-defined structure for project financials; contract, invoice, and change management, including vendor management component; design and construction project collaboration as well as submittals and reviews, including other types of projects, such as studies and analyses. Phase 2 system implementation is expected to resume in the summer of 2024 once the city has successfully replaced its key team member designated for the project.
